Hi! My name is Anna-Liisa and I’m working at Hurtigruten Estonia as a Data Analyst. When I first started my career path in Hurtigruten, I knew I had a passion for finding solutions and optimizing processes. This made me believe that Work Force Management position suggested by a friend would be perfect for me. As my journey here began and as I grew as a person, I noticed my love for analytics. That love was confirmed when I started studying Information Science at university. Soon my interest was noticed in Hurtigruten, and I was offered my current position in the company.

One of the main reasons why I love this job is that through my work I’m able to help and interact with so many teams. I help my colleagues get their job done, deliver the best possible results and make our clients happy. This way I can impact the entire company.

Data Analysts’ role here is exciting. I rarely have two similar working days. Every day there are new challenges, which allows me to continuously develop my problem solving and critical thinking skills. Our company and my team are organized and effective, but we do have a lot of fun also, especially when we get together outside of the office to socialize. We’re like a family.

As an employer, Hurtigruten Estonia values teamwork and flexibility. Although we have a really nice and relaxed office environment, we can work from home as well. This great work-life balance allows me to do boxing, running, gym, cultural programs and self-education in addition to work, which is important to me.

Hi! I am Andrew, Sales Operations Manager. I applied for a specific role within Hurtigruten, and upon getting this role, I had already fallen in love with Hurtigruten.

The company culture is one of the most welcoming cultures I have seen in my career. You can wake up in the mornings knowing that you will be able to have fun with your colleagues, work on challenges together and share success.

My role requires a good working relationship with my colleagues, a sense of humour, discipline, and can display organizational skills. Our team is responsible for planning and executing training and development of 180+ staff. My name is Gerda and I started my career in Hurtigruten approximately 12 years ago. I decided to try something completely new in my life. Fresh out of high school, I didn’t know what to study, so I decided that I would go and work for a year or two until I figured out what I would like to be in the future. That plan turned out to be a years-long learning path that has given me many opportunities, and now I’m working as an IT/OT Infrastructure & Platforms Operations Manager.

The thing I love the most about working in Hurtigruten is the possibility of making things better by improving our processes and the way we work as a team or a company. Despite a situation where we face a challenge with geographical distance and time zones, we have a good atmosphere in our team.

Hi! My name is Joulian and I work at Hurtigruten Estonia as a Sales Delivery Manager.

Since joining Hurtigruten in 2017, my journey has been both diverse and rewarding. I started as a Travel Consultant, then progressed to Team Leader, and now manage the German market in Tallinn. Choosing to work at Hurtigruten has been one of the best decisions of my life.

What I love the most about my work is the environment and the team that I am surrounded with. Having people with a positive vibe nearby is truly motivating and uplifting. Another significant factor for me is the product itself, which is absolutely fascinating. Promoting a company, which is sailing in the most remote areas in the world and at the same time being as ecological and green as possible is, in my opinion, one of the best jobs that you can have.

Hi! I am Kristel and I am working at Hurtigruten Estonia as a Guest Relations Emergency Team Leader. I’ve been working here for more than 12 years already and during this time I’ve grown and learned a lot. I started working as Travel Consultant, then I took a role of an Air & Ticketing Lead Agent, following a Flight Operations Coordinator role. Every day here is different and you can never know what challenges are waiting for you. After ten years there is always something new to learn and I am grateful for that.

I really appreciate that Hurtigruten Estonia is a very international company and it is always growing. I joined Hurtigruten Estonia five ago when I was searching for a job to settle in Tallinn. This opportunity was perfect for me. I speak English and Estonian outside of work and at home, but at work I can keep speaking my mother tongue – French.

Hi! My name is Nils and I’ve been working at Hurtigruten Estonia for three and half years now. I started as a Travel Consultant, but by now I´m working on the position of Team Leader. Coming here was like an adventure to me as I had no previous experience with this country. But since I’m an extrovert and love meeting new people and getting to know different cultures I decided to come.

Hi! I am Stanislav and I work at Hurtigruten Estonia as an Inventory Analyst. I’ve been working at this company for 15 years already. Since I studied Hotel Management, working at Hurtigruten Estonia was something that I was looking for.

During these 15 years, I have grown, learned and seen a lot. We have had different offices, different booking systems, new colleagues, whole departments and leaders have changed, new ships have been delivered etc. Observing and being a part of all that, it’s something that stays with me and is written in my work and life history forever. As an Inventory Analyst I mainly work with SeaWare program, Jira and Outlook, also using plenty of Excel, PowerBI and other programs that help me gather and analyse the data. Most of all I enjoy managing and optimizing ship capacity for departures and working with group requests.
We have a great team. As our Revenue Department is located not only in Tallinn, but also in Oslo and Hamburg, it brings an interesting diversity and different work approach. We also have truly the BEST summer days in our company. This is something that I´m waiting for the whole year. Personally, I have participated at every single one of them and they are always amazing.

And if I had to say what I love about our company and what our slogan “Explore with us” means to me, it would be that we as a cruise company never stop. We move forward no matter what happens, learn from our mistakes and from colleagues. Hi! My name is Tõnis and currently, I’m a Flight Operations Manager in Hurtigruten. I started in 2009 as an outsourced employee When Hurtigruten Estonia was founded, I got an offer to join. As I loved my job and the amazing trips we offer, this was an easy decision.

I’ve moved between different flight team positions over the years. There isn’t one typical workday. Every day in the travel industry and flight department can be a surprise. I love that we can fulfil customers’ dreams and make them happen in the best possible ways. I appreciate most that work is always varied, never dull, and nice puzzles are the best challenges.

I have an incredible team. I enjoy the advice we share amongst ourselves, growing and facing new challenges together. While working in Hurtigruten, there have been many memorable stories. But one of the good ones was years ago when a colleague wondered how it is possible that a plane leaves from Helsinki at 07:45 and arrives at Arlanda at 07:45, it’s supposed to be a one-hour flight, but it looks like time travel.

Hello! I’m Christiane and I’ve been with Hurtigruten Estonia for nearly 15 years. Growing up in northern Germany, I had always been fascinated by the dream voyages Hurtigruten offers, so joining the company was a natural decision for me.

Currently, I’m part of the Service Recovery Team, where I handle complaints from our German guests. The diversity of requests I receive, ranging from simple issues to complex problems, makes my job interesting and challenging every day.

I enjoy arriving at the office early in the morning when it’s quiet, as it allows me to focus on my tasks. There’s a great sense of satisfaction in resolving cases and making our guests feel confident about traveling with Hurtigruten again. Over the years, I’ve learned to manage my time effectively and stay updated with the latest tools and programs used in our Service Center, which has helped me maintain my language skills and grow professionally.

Even though my team is based in Hamburg and I’m in Tallinn, we maintain a strong connection through daily calls. While we don’t often get to meet in person, the remote collaboration works well for us, and I value the time we spend working together.
